In a recent U.S. News & World Report debate, Glenn Branch, Deputy Director of the National Center for Science Education, speculated that Charles Darwin “would not be happy to learn that almost half of Americans don’t accept evolution.”
Actually, Mr. Branch, the majority of Americans (some 66 percent, according to Gallup) don’t buy the “theory” that we all randomly evolved from fish and monkeys.

States Continue to Introduce Claims of Sovereignty, Now Arizona
A trend we can all live with is the one where state legislatures are introducing joint legislation that claims their 10th Amendment rights are valid and enforceable. Arizona is another, who will be next?
A Government Bailout of Government
Our media have been in awe of Barack Obama’s physique, his workouts and basketball skills. But his obvious deceptions about the economy are what really deserve scrutiny.
Obama insisted the "stimulus" bill wouldn’t contain earmarks, but that was another deception. Most of it in fact constitutes a gigantic earmark for state and local governments that have already spent beyond their means.

Passage of this $888 billion stimulus bill would ensure that this year's federal budget deficit would be well over a trillion dollars. And, we're told that this would only be the beginning of many years of trillion dollar deficits. This would likely lead to unprecedented levels of inflation.
Time for a Defense Policy that Defends America
It has long been obvious that America's pretense to empire costs far more than any benefits which result. Now it should also be obvious that the U.S. can no longer afford to play global policeman.
Only a change in foreign policy can match America's capabilities with its objectives. Washington should adopt a policy of nonintervention, dedicated to keeping America free, prosperous, and at peace. This is, in fact, the only approach consistent with remaining a republic dedicated to limited government and individual liberty.
Dismantle the Bureaucracy
If you drop a frog into a pot of hot water, he will immediately jump out. But if you drop a frog into a pot of lukewarm water with the heat on, he will stay there until he cooks to death. Or so the story goes.
For longer than I can remember, small government/free market advocates have been warning about the consequences our economy is now experiencing. We are now the frog in hot water.
