County Sheriff, U.S. Congressman, Precinct Committeeman, State Senator, City Council, etc. Why should you and I lead our communities back to the Constitution? If we don't, who will? If we don't do it now, when should we start? If you don't know how to run for office, read this.
You might say I or Ron Paul should run for office, but not you. You know there's a separation of classes--the ruling class and the peasant class--and you are not part of the ruling class. If that's true, what does that make you?
Can I persuade you to rethink your hesitation; can I convince you to reject stereotypes; can I ask you to remember the principles this nation was founded on, such as: 'All men are created equal'?
Separation of classes today is voluntary; quit volunteering to be oppressed! Stand up and be heard! Or sit down, shut up, and lick the hands which feed you.
Here's how our system works: If you don't like the way your representatives are doing the job, you run against them and expose them. (And I know you don't like the way your representatives are doing the job.) Pick the one you like the least and run against them.
Why Should I Become a Public Servant?
It gives you a platform to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a noninterventionist foreign policy.
Remember how many people Ron Paul was able to wake up? Think about the momentum that is being created by hundreds of 'Ron Pauls' running for all levels of office all over the country so the public keeps hearing our message from more and more leaders who are challenging the establishment, exposing the failures of bureaucracy, offering solutions proven by America's history, etc.
As the economy continues to worsen, we need public servants who understand free market economics to lead us out of this mess. As abuses of power such as the recent MIAC report persist, we need courageous public servants who will boldly confront and challenge the wrongdoers, as was successfully done in this case, as well as prevent further abuses.
If you'd like to become a public servant or help someone else run in the next Primary election that is right around the corner, now is the time to begin planning. "Wait just a minute," you say, "I still have some objections." Please give me a minute to overcome them. But first...
Why should you and I run for office?
Audit the Fed Gaining Momentum
When people found out that Congress had quietly appropriated millions for AIG bonuses, people were outraged. Imagine their reaction when they hear about the TRILLIONS the Fed has secretly been sending to Wall Street! If you have not already done so, it is vital that you sign the petition urging your Congressman to cosponsor the Audit the Fed bill.
National Disservice
On March 18, the House of Representatives voted 321-105 to pass the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act, and the Senate is expected quickly to follow suit. The GIVE Act more than triples the number of slots for AmeriCorps members from 75,000 to 250,000. And it takes a giant step toward expanding Washington’s power to make “service” compulsory for all young Americans.
Oppose "Cap and Trade" Legislation for So-called Global Warming Gases
Bloomberg News reported on March 12 that the budget that President Obama proposed in February anticipated revenues of almost $650 billion by 2019 from a so-called cap-and-trade program. The president’s proposal would require companies to buy government-issued permits to release carbon-dioxide into the atmosphere.
